James East joined Dorchester Baptist Church as Senior Minister on 1st July 2020. Before that, he was Senior Minister at St Andrew’s St Baptist Church, Cambridge for six years and Norwich Central Baptist Church.
Married to wife Debbie with three children, James is a keen swimmer and cyclist. He also loves movies, reading and video games!
In the past, he has been a chaplain to students, police responders and a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre.
Graham was elected to join the leadership team in 2021 having been a member of the church since 2017 after moving to Dorset from Surrey. He is married to Bev and has two grown up children.
In his previous church amongst other things, he led the youth work for 10 years, served as Church Warden for two terms and led a house group.
Jules is married to Chrissy and they have two children. They have attended DBC since the early 1990s. Jules has previously served on the Diaconate for 6 years, taking the role of Treasurer.
Jules is a member of the Worship group and is also a director of the lettings company Dorford Centre Limited.
Jules is our Church Treasurer.
Suzanna joined the church in 2016 and is active in children’s and youth work and a life group. For many years she has been involved with Fleet Camps and is part of the leadership team.
She works in a GP surgery in Weymouth and, thus, understands about working with vulnerable and marginalised groups. She is keen to ensure that the church is accessible and welcoming to all and hopes to be an advocate for children and young people.
Suzanna became a deacon in November 2023.
Allan is married to Sally and they have three grown up children. Allan moved to Dorset in 2012 to enjoy retirement after a busy career working overseas in Belgium. Allan was elected to the leadership team in 2014 and then again in 2025. During his first spell on the leadership team he was Church Trasurer.
Allan became a Deacon again in March 2025.
Jacqui is married to Peter and they have three beautiful adult children. She has a heart for missions and has spent time serving overseas in Eire, India, Pakistan and Turkey. After having the children she trained as a Teaching Assistant and spent six years working in a local primary school.
Jacqui and Peter moved to Dorchester Baptist Church in 2023 and she is involved in administration, particularly producing the weekly newsletter, the prayer ministry team and missions committee. She can be found at times supporting with the children’s work too.
